Brighton Squash Club is an ambitious and sociable community for everyone who loves squash or racketball, welcoming players of all ages and abilities.

From coaching and club nights to leagues, social squash and competitive team matches, there’s something for everyone whether you’re completely new to the sport or already playing regularly.

Club nights

Open to everyone and no booking needed, just turn up and play. All abilities welcome, from beginner to experienced; you'll find games at your level. Non‑members may drop in for £5.20 on arrival at Withdean Sports Complex. If you'd like more info send us a message. Why not come along on a Friday and stay to watch one of our home teams play a Sussex league match — grab a drink from the bar and enjoy the match atmosphere. See events schedule.

Coaching

Noah Meredith is our Level 2 certified coach and an active player on the professional circuit, winner of the PSA Brewin Dolphin Excalibur Cup. Watch the match here.

Noah offers 1-to-1 coaching and weekly group sessions, focusing on drills and conditioned games. There are sessions for developing players, intermediates and a ladies‑only group. To book or find out more, send us a message.

Membership

Club membership costs only £2.75 per month and unlocks a host of member-only benefits.

We recommend pairing it with a Freedom Leisure Rackets membership allowing you to book 2 courts per day up to 2 weeks in advance. This costs £38.50 per month. Freedom also offer other membership packages covering gym and wider leisure access.

England Squash memberhip gives you the required insurance should you wish to play in the Sussex leagues. They have various packages starting at just £15 per year offering additional benefits such as up-front PSA tickets, discount offers and squash TV.

Club Nights

Members with a BSC and Freedom Rackets membership can join club nights for free, as well as Sunday morning members only mix-ins, where we play a variety of games, 3/4 court or sometimes practice drills.

Coaching

Weekly group training sessions run Monday evenings from 5:40-7:00pm and ladies only sessions are Thursday nights from 7:00pm. 1 to 1 coaching is available by request.

Internal Box Leagues

Our box leagues run monthly with the top and bottom players moving up or down so there's always variety and games at the right level. Rankings and results are tracked online using Squash Levels.



Annual Club Tournament

Our annual club tournament runs from March to May across several age and level categories plus doubles, handicap and racketball. The finals nights and end of season celebrations see a full house for some great squash, food, drinks and trophy presentations.

Sussex & Business League Teams

We compete in the Sussex leagues with 3 regular teams, a ladies team and a development team. We also have a team in the Business League, with a more relaxed and sociable environment.

Social Events

Regular social events are hosted throughout the year, including post-club night food & drinks, meals / social nights out and mini-tournaments.



Club Room & Bar

Access to our members only bar and club room serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, teas and coffees.



WhatsApp Community

Our WhatsApp community keeps all members up-to-date with news and events from the club. Here you can join the general chat, training, mix-ins and team squash chats.



Book Courts

Available with a Freedom Leisure Rackets membership, you are entitled to book two courts per day, up to two weeks in advance.
