Squash can only be played at present under England Squash covid guidance as agreed with the Government
From September 1st squash bubbles signal the beginning of normal squash
From Tuesday 1 September squash clubs and venues in England are able to move to Phase 2 in our return to play plan, allowing players to form ‘squash bubbles’ and play full-court matches, although modifications and additional hygiene measures will be required.
The national requirement is that the squash bubbles are implemented in a managed and safe way. Brighton Squash Club is currently making these arrangements. If you wish to play full squash with people outside your immediate family get in touch and we will include you in our arrangements.
Currently each court is available for alternate 40 minute sessions, to allow for air circulation in between. They operate under England Squash guidance available here.
This guidance requires that at the moment matches and club nights have to be suspended. Individual courts are bookable – details below right.
Does this sound like you?
Looking for regular squash against all levels of ability
Tired of paying over the odds for limited court time
Seeking to avoid arranging courts and opponents
A more advanced player looking for team league matches in Sussex
A beginner or junior seeking court time and guidance
At Brighton Squash Club everyone is welcome, regardless of age or ability.
Memberships and court arrangements
In normal times we offer a combination of club and Freedom Leisure memberships that provide access to our teams, club nights, and 2 bookable courts a day for under £36 a month. There is a significant discount for women, and arrangements so that you can pay for individual sessions before deciding about full membership.

About the club
We are a non-commercial friendly members club founded more than 60 years ago with a strong squash history.
We run 4 teams in the county leagues, with our firsts in the premier division. In addition we run 2 teams in the social leagues…. We try to develop squash in the city and provide opportunities for everyone to improve, and we have a club coach in place available to members.
The core of our club function are open club nights on Wednesday and Friday evenings – just turn up, meet friendly people, and play a number of people close to your standard over the course of the evening. If you’re new to Brighton or want squash in a hurry you don’t need to think about getting an opponent – if something goes wrong at the last minute you aren’t letting anyone down.
We also have internal leagues and a ladder.
